In this game, Jonny Gomes went deep in the 4-run 2nd inning for the A’s, along with Yoenis Cespedes and Chris Carter (former River Cat). Then Seth Smith hit one out in the 6th inning to give the A’s a 9-4 victory.
Oakland is now 3 games over .500 for the first time since June 2010 — and the A’s are very much in the hunt for a wild card slot. Let’s hope the good times last in Oakland.
